Reiter Park
The happening and lively Reiter Park, once just used to be mostly mud and swamp land. Reiter Park is a 6 acre community park located in the northeast corner of Warren Avenue and South/North Milwee Avenue in the central part of the Longwood. Reiter Park contains a multi-use stage, an event lawn, a playground, multiple pavilions, a splash pad, tennis courts, a basketball court, a garden, and a restroom building. There is boardwalk around the park (pedestrian bridges) used for events and more.

The parking area is located off of West Warren Avenue, you can find parallel parking along the streets. The Orlando Health Hospital also provides a parking space for large events. There are many events held at Reiter Park such as the Luau Festival, Monster Dash 5K, Movies in the Park, and Trunk or Treat when the spooky season rolls around.
Reiter Park was built by The City of Longwood in 1980. It was built as a community gathering area for citizens to bond and enjoy local programs. The park was named after long-time Longwood citizen Jimmy Reiter and his family. Jimmy Reiter also founded the first fire control group in Longwood named 'Longwood Volunteer Fire Department' and served as city commissioner for 13 years. He donated a one-acre piece of land for the Longwood Fire Department to the city. Mr. Reiter and his family were some of the most known and nicest folk in town. They continued to live in their one acre homestead close to Lemon Street until his unfortunate passing in 1987.
